A very underrated band out of Prague, and in anticipation of their new Slowthinking cd (which is already out in Europe) I decided to play a classic from their last disc. Check out their video for this one at their site, it's one of my favs.

I was really looking forward to this disc. Although I kept forgetting they even existed because no one ever mentions them in this hemisphere. This new one is sort of like Anja Garbarek's brilliant Smiling and Waving, but more playful. The way the band mixes together organic instruments with funky electro-percussion is just about as inticing as is Katerina's way with words. Easily one of the most enjoyable releases of the year.
