Placebo - English Summer Rain (Single)

Placebo have gone to town with the release of there latest single 'English Summer Rain' from the phenomenal 'Sleeping with Ghosts' album. The straight CD single is a more electronic reworking of the album track, with less guitars, more clicks and bleeps and an extra layer of Molko's tortured vocals and 'I'll Be Yours' Version 4am. The enhanced CD singles comes with the album version, Ecstasy of St Theresa Remix, the video and the junior Sanchez remix of 'This Picture'. There's also a 7" issue of the single with the aforementioned Junior Sanchez remix. Placebo are always praised as being great within their own right, but on revisiting their faultless back catalogue you can't deny that this band are worth so much more than being a humoured and patronized gay rock band - they are one of the biggest and best UK hard rock bands.
